"Stress at work is rife, warns unions.
A plea for action to combat stress and overwork in factories and offices came from the TUC yesterday.
Stress was rife among civil servants, NHS staff and teachers, a study of 2,600 union safety representatives found.
Some employees said they faced the threat of violence at work while many building and hotel workers complained of back pain.
TUC general secretary Brendan Barber said stress at work was likely to worsen during the economic crisis".
